Incurable diseases are diseases that have no cure or are incapable of being made well or healed. Medical professionals and researchers make advancements toward finding an effective treatment for the various kinds of diseases. Ailments that killed people many years ago may no longer be a threat today. However, there is still a long way to go in finding a cure for the recent ailments and diseases. Here are some of the incurable diseases.

Parkison’s disease

This is one of the diseases whose cure has not been found till to date. This disease is fatal by itself and can cause some serious health complications. The disease affects the way the brain produces dopamine which is a neurotransmitter that helps the brain, motor skills and the nervous system to function well. An insufficient amount of dopamine in the brain affects emotions, movements and behaviour of an individual.

Alzheimer’s disease incurable diseases

This is also one of the incurable diseases whose cure has not yet been found. It’s a common form of dementia which causes difficulty in memory and reasoning that are serious health issues that pose a challenge in day to day living. The disease also causes a decline in thinking skills and a progressive loss of brain cells that leads to memory loss.

HIV/AIDS

HIV and AIDS is an incurable disease which is recognised as a sexually transmitted disease. The disease attacks the immune system and weakens the body to the point of being attacked by other types of diseases and infections. HIV/AIDS has no cure but proper medication can stop the virus progression and boost immunity.

Lupus

Lupus is also another incurable disease whose cure has not yet been found. It is a chronic disease which causes the immune system to produce antibodies that attack healthy tissues and cells leading to pain, damage and inflammation. The disease has various symptoms such as chest pain, swelling of legs and feet, headaches and fatigue.

Asthma

Most people having asthma are able to manage treatment but no cure has been found. Asthma makes it difficult to breathe and limits the air passage. Some of the common symptoms include tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing.
